1.Hub location in air cargo transportation: A case study
Introduction:This paper models constrained choices when establishing cargo hub and spoke networks
Body:A mixed integer linear programming model is developed introducing additional constraints to the traditional model of uncapacitated multiple allocation hub location problem and empirically tested.
Conclusion:The tests suggest that aircraft range and trip cost, runway availability and cargo traffic continuity of an airport are major factors affecting hub locations along with the costs of airline movements.

2“Airport Consolidation And The Provision Of Air Services”
Introducing Paragraph :Airport policy involes decisions abaout not only the sizes of airport but how may airport should serve a given area.
Body Paragraph : I test the arguments for airport consolidation by estimating the effect of the number of airport on total local traffic using us data and a historical instrument for the number of airports. Citiies that are randomly allocated a larger number of airport are found to hast more air traffic and flights to more destinations.
Conclusion Paragraph : Furthermore , the effec is largely due to greater number of transit pasanger, so cities with multiple greater are more litely to be chosen as airline hubs.

3.A Hierarchical Metamodeling Approach For Airline Costs”
Introducing Paragraph : Cost are a crucial basic for every decision process that combines recources to provide a product or service. Aieline decide on cost infromation abaout aircraft orders, route adaptions and bussiness model changes. This paper shows a hierarchical medamodelling approach for airline total operation cost.
Body Paragraph : In particular we establish a hierarchy that support the decision-making processes to addies any operational-driven impact to the air transportation system. First use is the bussiness model of the long-hawl low-cost carrier. The modal currently overtimates the total operating cost.
Conclusion Paragraph : The model currently overtimemates the total operating cost. The reasons for the overestimation are the varying cost items of different airline bussines approariate activity-based cost model for the airline sector to assign overhead cost.

4 An assessment of the potential of alternative fuels for “greening” commercial air transportation.
Introduction: This paper deals with an assessment of the potential of conventional (oil-kerosene) Jet-A1/8 and alternative synthetic & biomass-derived SPK (Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene) andLH2 (Liquid Hydrogen) fuels for “greening” commercial air transportation through reducing its fuel consumption and related direct emissions of GHG (Green House Gases) in the medium- andlong-term period of time.
Body:For such a purpose, the convenient analytical models for estimating this fuel consumption andcorresponding direct emissions of GHG have been developed and applied according to “what-if” scenario approach. The results have shown that:
i) Introducing the alternative SPK (F-T&HRJ) fuels fully (i.e., 100% replacement of Jet-A1/8 fuel) would bring only a marginal reduction of the cumulative direct emissions of CO2. Such reduction would not substantially contribute to achieving the globally agreed targets on reducing GHG emissions; and
ii) Introducing the alternative LH2fuel would almost immediately bring rather substantive reduction of the cumulative emissions of CO2.
Conclusion:If such introduction started earlier, it would contribute to achieving the globally agreed targets on reducing emissions of GHG during given period.

5.An analysis of air traffic controller-pilot miscommunication in the NextGen environment
introduction
This paper extends research on miscommunication between air traffic controllers and pilots by developing statistical models that predict the outcome of communications within the scope of controller-pilot data communications in the Next Generation Air Transportation environment. A database of controller-pilot voice messages from high and super-high altitude en-route sectors of US airspace is investigated. Emphasis is given to parameters that can be utilized in the voice-only communication, as well as in the mixed media, environment.
Body
This allows formulation of reasonable assumptions about the impact of data communications on controller and pilot behavior. The models indicate that the most important factors affecting communications are length and context of the message, entering of an aircraft into a sector, transfer of communication, and radio frequency congestion.
Conclusion
The results also suggest that the transmission of non-time critical routine messages via data communications could reduce the number of communication errors and alleviate radio frequency congestion.
